Use case

Pitch prep that outreads the incumbent

The prospect’s live ads, audience conversation, and category dynamics in one working session, not one all-nighter per planner.

The short answer

Waldo compresses pitch research into API calls. One surface returns the prospect’s brand overview, their full active ad set, the category’s hook taxonomy, and what their audience says unprompted. Tracked entities refresh daily, Discover endpoints go live for anything else, and every claim in the deck links back to its source.

The job to be done

An RFP lands and the clock starts. The new business lead needs an outside view of the prospect that sounds like an inside view: what they run, what their audience says behind their back, where the category is drifting. The traditional version is planners pulling all-nighters over ad library tabs and borrowed subscriptions, and it does not scale across three simultaneous pitches.

The incumbent agency has years of context. The only way to beat that in two weeks is to read faster: the complete ad set instead of a sample, the actual audience conversation instead of assumptions, and category angles mapped instead of guessed. That is a data access problem before it is a strategy problem.

How Waldo does it

Frame the brand in an afternoon

MCP: brand_overview inside Claude gives the working session its base layer: the prospect’s footprint, activity, and how the market talks about them, with sources linked for everything that makes it into the deck.

Read the whole ad set

GET /brands/{id}/ads/active returns every ad the prospect currently runs, with creative, copy, and days live. One real pull returned 14,793 active Meta ads for a single brand; you read the whole thing, not a sample.

Map the category’s angles

The angle library returns a versioned taxonomy of every hook running across the competitive set. Whitespace slides stop being a matter of taste and start being a matter of record.

Bring the audience into the room

Clustered audience verbatims put the prospect’s customers in the deck in their own words, each quote linked to its source. Few things land harder in a chemistry meeting than the audience saying what your strategy says.

Questions teams ask

What if the prospect is not tracked yet?

Discover endpoints query the platforms live at request time, so research starts immediately. Waldo is in open beta: sign up at /build/get-started, the setup wizard mints an API key, and the activation fee applies only to untracked entities you choose to add.

Can the whole pitch team share access?

Yes. Credits draw from an org pool with scoped keys and no per-seat fees, so planners, creatives, and the analytics lead can all pull from the same allowance during the sprint.

Do agencies actually run pitches on this?

Crossmedia, McKinney, and PETERMAYER are all Waldo case studies, and Waldo’s Pitch product is built on the same data. The customer stories page has the specifics.
